Having previously worked with our client, Interaction, on various projects, including the refurbishment of their own offices, we were tasked with the responsibility of designing, manufacturing, and installing a new feature staircase for the VWV refurbishment project, located on Bristol’s historic harborside.
The primary objective for the staircase was to efficiently connect the ground and first-floor atriums while minimising movement around the building. After receiving the initial design intent from Interaction, we collaborated closely to refine the design, ensuring it complied with all necessary building standards, integrated seamlessly with the existing office infrastructure, and possessed aesthetic appeal.
The final result was a striking powder-coated freestanding feature staircase, featuring a minimalist support frame. This was complemented with vertical bar balustrades on both sides of the stair and the first-floor landing, accompanied by integral handrail brackets to support an oak handrail.
We extend our thanks to Interaction for granting us permission to share their photographs of the completed project. For further details on this project, please visit the case study featured on their website
